All of the complexes exhibited similar Re-O bond distances, ranging from 1.687(7) to 1.707(7) angstroms, consistent with distances found in other Re(V) oxo complexes. The electronic asymmetry at the metal caused by the different donor properties of the ligands leads to tilting of the Re-oxo bond relative to the plane of the equatorial ligands. The compounds were found to be robust and resisted oxo transfer even when subjected to harsh conditions.

There is epidemiological evidence that H. pylori might predispose to Alzheimer’s disease.
